Millions of Texans have been without access to consistent energy and water this week following Sunday's snowfall and winter weather. The storm has claimed more than 3o lives thus far. Twitter user @mostlybree called to mind the trauma endured by Texans.
'The cruelty and viciousness of this tweet is shameful. What the hell, man. People are dying,' she replied.
Nearly 24 hours later, as boil water notices are issued across the state and millions sit in their dark, cold homes, the tweet remains.
'The way he doesn’t even care enough to delete this,' another user, @lexi4prez, said.
Others, like user @smartsassylib, pointed to the state's history of gerrymandering, 'Almost half of our citizenry is Democrat. Our voting laws are the MOST oppressive in the country and we are gerrymandered worse than most other states.'

According to a rep for the late actress — who played Mary Ann on the iconic sitcom — she passed away due to complications from COVID-19.
Among those to pay tribute on Twitter was writer Chris Nashawaty, who wrote simply 'RIP' along with a photo of the late actress in character on the show.
Nashawaty's tweet was met with a response by famed author Stephen King, who apparently has never see 'Gilligan's Island'.
